What is a YOUnique Healing?

A YOUnique Healing is a bespoke, alternative healing session that incorporates various energy healing modalities and shamanic rituals or journeying (guided meditations), and is specifically tailored to the client's needs.

Please note that we often use the terms "energy healing" and "spiritual healing" interchangeably. "Spiritual healing" refers to a holistic approach to well-being that focuses on the interconnectedness of the mind, body, and spirit. It is based on the belief that "spiritual energy" - a subtle, non-physical force or essence that is believed to underlie and animate all living beings and the universe as a whole - can promote healing and restore balance within an individual. This leads to improved physical, emotional, and mental health.

Practitioners of spiritual healing practices use various techniques and tools such as prayer, guided meditations, energy work, visualization, sound therapy (i.e. music or chanting/singing), and the use of sacred objects or symbols to channel and direct healing energy for their clients. The goal is to address the root causes of illness or imbalance by addressing any spiritual blockages, negative emotions, and energetic disturbances or imprints within the client's energy field or body.

Spiritual healing practices can vary widely depending on cultural, religious, and the personal beliefs of the practitioner, and every client may experience different results based on their willingness and openness to the process and their unique circumstances. There is no "right" or "wrong" way when it comes to this type of work. Clients simply need to trust that they will receive exactly what they need, how they need it.

Tayo blends various energy healing modalities with shamanic practices or rituals/ceremony, and specialises in creating safe spaces for spiritual healing and deep emotional release. Tayo also specialises in Anger Rituals (a shamanic practice) to support individuals to release deeply buried or unexpressed emotions stemming from traumatic past experiences. Don't be fooled by her childlike or optimistic nature, as Tayo is someone who has carried an immense amount of hidden anger and frustration from a young age (due to her own difficult life experiences) and it is through embracing her own anger ritual in 2022, that she understands the benefits of this very powerful yet highly vulnerable ritualistic process. She understands from firsthand experience the true power of releasing these much heavier (dark/ugly) emotions which in turn, creates space for more positive life experiences to manifest. Tayo also supports in the integration and healing of one's "inner-child" and rebalancing of the masculine or feminine aspects through shamanic journeying (soul retrieval work).

Shamanic healing is a powerful and effective way to heal both the body and soul. It is a holistic approach that addresses both the physical and spiritual aspects of illness and injury. Shamanic practitioners may use a variety of techniques to voluntarily enter into altered states of consciousness and travel to the realms of the invisible worlds to heal a client at a "soul level", often seeking to uncover the "origin wound" that is negatively impacting the client's life. Depending on the practitioner, they may utilise techniques such as drumming, chanting, singing, dancing, or the use of *plant medicines* like Ayahuasca, Psilocybin mushrooms etc to enter into these states.

Tayo specifically uses sound such as singing bowls, drumming and intuitively guided chanting (her activated throat chakra or "shamanic voice") and sometimes light language to shift the client's energy and support them in rebalancing their chakras. This is a gift that is unique to her (was not specifically taught by anyone - it simply began emerging in 2021 and became stronger after her Shamanic Training in 2022). Some clients have noted that they drop into different realms or energetic states, or are met with strange "mystical experiences" or "guides" once she begins using her shamanic voice. That said, this is not to be expected as everyone's journey is unique and individual to them. The experience always belongs to the client and Tayo simply acts as a vessel or a sacred space holder.

Our firm belief around "plant medicines" is that it should be used purely as "medicine" (for healing purposes) and not for recreational reasons such as "chasing bliss states" or "escapism". Unfortunately, the western/modern world has distorted the main objective of plant medicines and we feel it is important to remind people of its higher purpose which is to support one's healing and help us to remember our divine connection to all that is. Plant medicine should never turn into a crutch that one frequently leans on or returns to. The truth is, the human mind and body are much more powerful than we realise. We are more than capable of healing ourselves from the inside out without plant medicines. :)

What is involved in a YOUnique Healing session with Tayo?

This is an intuitively guided session where Tayo acts as a divine channel for healing frequencies (spirit/source energy) or spiritual messages. At the start of the session, there will be a brief consultation to check-in on how the client is feeling and to discuss any areas of concern and what brought them to the session. The session will then incorporate various spiritual techniques or tools that Tayo has studied (and intuitively redefined) over the years, which may include (but is not limited to): energy healing, traditional shamanic practices (ceremony/rituals); sound therapy (drumming, singing bowls, chanting); or shamanic journeying (guided healing meditation), and whatever else is required. As mentioned, this is an intuitively guided session and not all techniques or tools will be used in each session. Please also understand that no session is expected to run exactly the same as the last, as it is purely based on what the client's soul is seeking at the time and what Spirit is bringing through. These sessions are designed for the client and as such, Tayo prefers to leave her ego out of the picture (avoids planting unnecessary seeds and "intellectually diagnosing" clients) and thus, does not usually mention what she see/feels from the session unless she is strongly guided to do so. She wishes for clients to experience their own journey/healing process. Tayo is simply the vessel (hollow bone), the facilitator, the channel for the healing energies - whereas the client (alongside spirit) is the true healer!

At the end of the session, Tayo normally does a final check-in with the client to close up the session and is available to answer any questions the following days after.​

This session can support the release of energetic blocks or suppressed emotions, chakra re-balancing, deep spiritual healing and grounding clients back into their body. Clients will often leave the session feeling at peace, as if a weight has been finally lifted off their shoulders, or on the other end of the spectrum, clients leave feeling extremely exhausted (super sleepy and tired) due to excess purging of unexpressed emotions or the deep energetic work that has taken place (imagine you just did an intense exercise routine but on an energetic level), which evidently is a highly cathartic experience and provides deep release and a sense of relief. Most clients have a very deep sleep upon the night of the healing.

Tayo is a certified Shamanic Practitioner and identifies with being a "wounded healer" - having experienced and overcome numerous challenges throughout her life. She is officially certified under Orion Marks from Ursus School of Shamanism (2022) and also attended a 1-day Core Shamanic Workshop with Dr Sherif Tawfilis from Soul Therapies - Shamanic Energy Medicine (2024). She has been introduced to both indigenous Australian and Native American practices with the intention to learn from additional teachers to expand her spiritual repertoire. *2026 Update: Tayo has further deepened/expanded her shamanic healing practices and understanding as she also took part in another intensive shamanic course with Mark Steinward of One Tribe Healing in March 2026 (Levels 1&2 - 3&4 to follow)*

 

Tayo is also a Level 2 Reiki Practitioner (certified in 2019), a Level 3 Pellowah Healing Technique Practitioner & Teacher (certified in 2020), and has her own unique connection to Spirit and Source. And whilst Tayo comes across as a "ray of sunshine", it is crucial for clients to understand that she embraces both the LIGHT and DARKNESS. She considers herself both a "Light Worker" and "Shadow Worker". She respects ALL OF CREATION. That said, there is no need for alarm and definitely no need to fear, as both the client and Tayo are always divinely protected within sacred space. :)

However, the session includes additional time to "dig deeper" and also allows clients to receive spiritual guidance and ask questions through the use of Tarot/Oracle cards for further clarity and direction in their life.

FAQ: How is the Session Run?

Our YOUnique Healing Sessions are only held in-person at Qi Crystals' Healing Centre (Wednesday or Friday afternoons), or The Soul Alchemist Clinic (Saturdays by appointment only). Due to the intimate nature of the sessions, we need to set up a sacred space and therefore, do not offer this service remotely. Please note that we charge extra for in-person sessions to cover the costs of room hire and additional preparation.
